Space cat is training a new kitten cadet, wait not a feline...a what????

This is one unique book. Despite being long for a children's book, it still has the ability to hook you into reading it completely in one go - a quality most SHORT children's book have. 

I love the illustrations and the humour because the author got the cat personality right. I'm a devoted cat owner so I know.

Anyways, I hope to read more of this in the future. :)

It's good to be back reviewing books. I've read hundreds of books since my last post but, I've yet to review any of them. It's near the end of the year and it was quite a roller coaster for me so when I get more free time I'll share a list of books I've read. :)

I really enjoyed this new addition on the House of Night series and it truly did compliment the books. The stories were fun to read since it gives a new version of the ancient people we know so well. This book can stand alone from the books but I truly suggests the reader to be familiar with the house of night series before they read this because it will add to the effect of seeing the characters visually in a graphic novel.

I commend the dialogue in the novel because they are straight to the point and no unnecessary lines where added. I also love the way the characters were illustrated because they really did click or even improve the way I visualize them in my mind when I was reading the novels.

Lastly, this graphic novel did come out at the right time because along the road the house of night series did have its ups and downs for me and reading this increased my excitement for the next book. 

All in all, as a house of night fan this graphic novel is such a treat!

Bunny In The Moon: The Art of Tara McPherson Volume III by Tara McPherson

This is one of the best work of art book collections I've ever read. Tara McPherson is really one of the leaders in Pop Surrealism. She has a knack of making such simple images look so interesting.

This book contains images of her Bunny in the Moon solo exhibition held in New York. Not only does it contain all the works in the exhibit but  also includes some of Tara's working drafts for the pieces.

It was an exciting read. It doesn't bore you like other art book collections does. It can excite and inspire you to do art and that what's good about it. :)

Lenobia's Vow by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

Time really do travel fast and now as I go on with my life, I wake up and see that one of the series I'm following has another new installment. I remember reviewing about the previous house of night book "Destined" last October and it made such a good impression that I want to read more. Imagine my excitement when I saw "Lenobia's Vow" to be released soon.

Fast forward to a few months, I just finished reading "Lenobia's Vow" and it was an interesting story but, it could've been better. The speed on which the book was released was also how fast I've read it. Well it was a novelette after all but,  I've read more detailed and compact ones which made the shortness not an issue.

Lenobia is one of Zoey's, the protagonist in the House of Night installements, favorite teacher in her school. Basically the book tells about Lenobia's heritage and how she was able to reach America.  Add a typical love interest and an antagonist that's as predictable as a cartoon criminal.

 I guess some parts of the story just irritated me because it was predictable and maybe because it was the first book I actually finished this year due to work. Still, I would like to commend the authors for adding another interesting view about Lenobia's character but, I just hope they add more content and diverse from predictability to make the story more exciting.

Looking forward to more House of Night Books.
